She said to watch her said. Katlyn said. She walked slowley there. Then OW! She hurt herslef OW! OW! OW! She said She sat and waited. She said to the crowed sh well have to wait and rest before they go on the trip. She said we'll rest for a week then they would go on the trip. After a week she went on the trip but it took a week. Thanks giving 2009
Here we are, another thanks giving goes by. This time around we drove 900 miles to York, PA. Usually such long drives are a drag on the kids, this time around however Nishanth explained that he did not mind it because "It is ok acha, I can sit that long in the car to go and play with Adi, Appu, Sanju and Anju". This trip seemed to have a much better incentive at the end unlike our last long drive which was to Colorado Springs.
The drive by itself was uneventful, stayed overnight at about the half way mark and continued on the next morning. It is always towards the end that seemed the longest. The last 100 miles took for ever to complete and was the most tiring.
Once in York, it was heaven, kids kept busy to themselves with the occasional fight and disputes to be resolved. Sanju and Appu seemed to offer the most entertainment for everybody while Anju with her mesmerizing smile was the star of the year

Cooking was more of a community event and good food minus the wine kept flowing.
We made a trip to Hershey's Chocolate factory and went around on the free tour. I was surprised we were given just a single Almond Joy candy bar at the end of the tour. Although I did not think it was impressive, it was good time spent with the family.
Neetu would remember this trip for loosing her tooth while being there. We told her that the tooth fairy in York was richer than the one in St. Louis and so she had a strong enough reason for it to pull it out before we returned.
Washington DC was the next stop, with kids learning about the presidents in general they were hoping to get a glimpse of the president while they are there. Our trip there coincided with Manmohan Singh's visit and so there were Indian flags along side the US flag in many places. Nishanth caught up on his nap at the movie theater in the Smithsonian and both of them were beginning to feel sad towards the end of the day that they had missed out on playing with their cousins.
